Iran director Majid Majidi has told the media that his main concern is the international screening of Iranian films.
The director of ‘Beyond the Clouds’ talked to media on the sidelines of his latest movie’s premiere on February 12.
Majidi mentioned that the Iranian cinema has the potential of being globalized and Iranian filmmakers should participate at international festivals in various countries.
He added that ‘Beyond the Clouds’ is a joint production of Iran and India and the whole movie was captured in India.
‘Beyond the Clouds’ is Majidi’s latest project after his blockbuster ‘Muhammad: The Messenger of God’.
Set in the slums of Mumbai in India, Majidi’s melodrama is the tale of a wild kid who deals drugs and crisscrosses with his motorbike across the city to make the next drop.
He reunites with his estranged sister in time to become her lifeline after she is being jailed for attempted murder while defending herself.
